When did current events become .............?

A non current events and seem to turn into an abusive site. What is it with people that think they can abuse people and get away with it ? Just because we type down what we think on here it does not make it real life. It's an opinion we give and that's it. No two people will ever agree on everything but can we not agree to dis-agree ? After all is not what this is all about. Resorting to insults is cheap to say the least.

I'm not bothered what the subject is as long as I find it interesting it can be posted anywhere. If a person is not happy then surely it is easier to scroll until they find a question that interests them rather than answer with a huge file to f*ck the questions up for other users or, report questions or answers for violations? As for abuse I agree with you. Not just in Current Events but throughout this site people do their best to provoke abuse whether with questions or answering.

Not everybody insults in Current Events. One or two only. The others are great contributors to this YA section.
Current events became non current events when people started posting non current events questions like this one
Well said, but as someone else said you have to develop a thick skin, and choose which ones you want to answer, you will not please everybody. I think at some stage we have all had some abuse aimed at us. Its not right I know but what can you do?

This is supposed to be YA(nswers)..I do not think 'pinions should be 'aloud' otherwise it wud b called YO. Opinions r like arsholes..every1 has 1..but that doesn't make the sound ema8ing from them very plesant...or fragrant!.(I use the demotic mode of spelling and text lang when speaking down to the underclass btw..just to show how fair enlightened and democratic I am!)
It's a known fact that any 'inter-active' form of communication which allows lower forms of pond-life to spew abuse WILL be so abused.

Yahboo has various systems in place - apparently designed to avoid such abuse - but they seem to work with rather limited - and random - success.

For what it's worth - I simply ignore the abuse. I've received emails of the most obscene and personally threatening type - but refused to stoop so low as to even acknowledge their existence.

The little creeps then seem to go and bang their heads against another brick wall.

The abuse is not necessary, even if it is only words on a computer.

Humans are becoming very horrible. Imagine what it is going to be like when the world does have an economic depression.

I believe this site does show a cross section of society, worldwide %26amp; it is a bit of a worry.

Abuse, swearing, nastiness, lots of users saying they are drunk, etc.etc.

Perhaps people really are worried %26amp; just use this site to vent?

And no we cant agree to disagree or hold hands and all dance together in a little circle.

Agreeing is not what it is about..its about learning from others and discovering amazing people with varied opinions and approaches to life.

This IS real life about real people where strong opinions do matter especially when it is an emotive subject ,what you may consider to be an insult may in fact be the truth..and truth hurts sometimes.
It has been going on for months,it is not current events,it is current events chat and social club
It's friday night, the geeks are home with mummy and daddy , have no social life of their own , so they must chat and troll- bored children perhaps they'll go to bed soon.
Expose living human kind were living in misery with faulty communication problems.

Expose their misery in real time too .

That became current events.

For us to help them in solving it for them.

When they have no one else to turn to.

i agree, i like the debates on here, all have different opinion, on certain things, if we all agreed, then life would be just so simple, but very boring.
When the many varied users left, they gave up on debate because the retorts were insults, name calling and other vile odious remarks. When they gave up and left it to the hyenas. It is sooooo dull now, it was interesting before BECAUSE people had differing opinions, now its cliquey and boring.
