I am looking for a career in special events like concert tours, award shows, sporting events, etc. and I would like to know how to break into the business, who I should look up, who I should contact, what internships to apply for etc. Any info would help. thanks!

Go to convention centers and other types of halls and look for employment.
Start your own event company and offer to manage an event for a friend, family friend, or someone who can get you connected.
Try to get a job with Maritz or a similar agency.
